    Do you generate hazardous waste?

Most businesses generate some hazardous waste even if it's remnants of old cleaning materials.  Did you know that antifreeze is a hazardous waste when removed from a vehicle?  How about wash water from your floors? Businesses are prohibited from discharging liquids containing hazardous substances into the street or storm drain.

With the new regulations to prevent pollution of waterways, beaches and ground water, it is more important than ever that your business be in compliance.  Hazardous waste cannot be thrown into the trash, abandoned or allowed to enter public property.

This program has been developed to help small businesses dispose of their hazardous waste in a safe, legal and cost-effective manner.  Even better, the program is simple to use and entirely voluntary.

A safe, affordable alternative for hazardous waste disposal. While any business large or small may be served by this program, businesses that generate small amounts of hazardous waste will benefit the most.  Hazardous waste companies are usually reluctant to offer services for businesses that produce very small amounts of hazardous waste.  In reality, it is a tedious process of documentation and application, which often hinders the process.

Curbside Inc. can make the process of hazardous waste disposal simple and easy.  Most of the cumbersome paperwork will be taken care of by Curbside.

You qualify for this program if your business creates less than 220 pounds of hazardous waste each month or you have accumulated less than 2,200 pounds in one year.  The state allows qualifying businesses to have their waste treated as if it were household generated waste.  The net result is less paperwork (we will take care of the paperwork for you) and a lower disposal price.

Typical participants include painters, plumbers, property managers and home-based businesses.  With no minimum quantity requirements, why not call Curbside's toll-free number, 1-800-449-7587 ex 107, today?

Pricing is based upon gallons, pounds, or per-item,  depending upon the waste.  If the waste is not packaged in D.O.T. approved drums, we will supply them for a fee (listed on the sheet).  There is a testing fee for any unknown or co-mingled materials.

You are required to obtain an EPA ID number in California or if you have a quantity of waste in excess of the amounts indicated above.  If you do not have a number, we can direct you to obtain one.

While it is difficult to quote everyone, we can give you an estimate with qualifiers. For example, about 32 one-gallon containers can fit into a 55-gallon drum.  If you have 32 one-gallon containers of flammable paint which must be packaged to meet D.O.T. requirements, we would put them into a 55-gallon drum.  You would pay us for the drum, time to package, a disposal fee and a fixed transportation fee.

If your employees can be trained to properly package hazardous waste, you can save on our labor fee.  We can work with you on these and other issues to save money.
